Q: Do you accept any insurance plans?
A: I am able to accept most major insurance plans through a third party processor called The Lactation Network. To check your eligibility, please visit: https://go.lactationnetwork.com/TheBoobtique
Q: If my insurance is eligible for lactation support, what will they cover?
A: If your insurance coverage is approved through TLN, it will cover 6 or more private/ one- on- one appointments at 100%. This can be used prenatally for any education needs or birth planning support and postnatally for breastfeeding support including virtual, in office, and in home appointments.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A:
As a mom of 4 and nurse I completely understand that things can pop up last minute, plans can change, people get sick, etc. I’m very understanding and always open to being flexible. But to be respectful of both your time and mine The Boobtique’s cancellation policy is as follows:
For Self Pay Appointments:
A $50 deposit is required when scheduling any self pay one- on- one appointments (including but not limited to: in- home, in- office, and virtual lactation support and birth planning appointments). 24 hours cancelation/ rescheduling notice is required. If you do not show up for your appointment or give adequate notice of needing to cancel/ reschedule, your $50 deposit will be forfeited.
For Group Classes:
Please give 24 hours advance notice if you are unable to attend a group class you have scheduled.
For single occurring classes (including but not limited to: Birth, Breastfeeding, Newborn Care, etc), I will provide a one time courtesy to place you into the next class offering. If you still fail to attend, your payment will be forfeited and no refund will be provided.
For classes with multiple occurrences (ex: HypnoBirthing) missed classes will not be rescheduled and no refunds will be provided. I am happy to meet with you individually during a quick virtual appointment to briefly cover information missed from a single class. I will also provide you with the homework associated with that missed class so you will be caught up and ready for the next class.
For Insurance Covered Appointments:
I do not have a way to bill for missed appointments through TLN. If you are scheduled for a private appointment or class through TLN/ insurance and fail to attend, a $50 ‘no show’ fee will be invoiced for you to pay via credit/ debit card, PayPal, or AfterPay. Failure to pay this fee will result in no further private appointments scheduled.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
Q: Do you sell any lactation support products?
A: In my office, I keep a few different products stocked to help with special feeding circumstances or to just help support the breastfeeding relationship. Some brands you may find are Pumpin’ Pals, Momi, Lansinoh, & more.
Q: What areas of Charlotte do you service?
A: I will provide in home support to anyone wishing 30 minutes of my home in Mooresville. This typically includes Northern Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Troutman, Statesville, China Grove, and Concord. If any family is outside of this range, I am still always willing to proving in office and/or virtual supprt.
Q: Can I have a copy of the visit to take to my baby’s pediatrician?
A: I chart every encounter using a HIPPA compliant system called MilkNotes. Once you register for an account, you will have access to all of the information charted from our visit(s). You’re welcome to download, print, or share that information with whomever you would like.
Q: I’m really interested in connecting with other expectant families. Do you offer in-person group classes?
A: I do! I think building community is such an important component of parenting support. Having your “village” can really help decreased the risk of postpartum depression and anxiety. I frequently hold group classes in the classrooms available at Soul Wellness, located in downtown Mooresville and would love to help you make connections with other local families!
